Assassin’s Creed for iPhone revealed
by Carter DotsonVenerable gaming site IGN.com has revealed the first screens for Assassin’s Creed for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game looks good in these first 2 screenshots, and it is being developed by renowned mobile developer Gameloft, so there is some clout behind it. However, the game appears to be based upon the DS version, Assassin’s Creed: Altair’s Chronicles, which didn’t exactly light the system on fire, instead of the far more hyped and critically acclaimed console versions. As a plus, the game is a prequel to the console versions which has you going after a sacred artifact creatively named “The Chalice.” However, the DS version of the game is apparently rather short according to IGN themselves, so this may give some cause to concern. But at a price less than a traditional DS release, this may be worth keeping an eye on. The game will supposedly release in the next few weeks (but with Apple’s review process, who knows), so stay alert for this intriguing release.
