Hudson + Konami = Crisis – Law
by Jason Evangelho
We realize it’s spring break for some of you, but our editors have had an enormous infusion of caffeine this morning, so we apologize for the mathy headline.
Our excite-o-meter has risen just enough to make this newsworthy: Last month we revealed Hudson’s “Miami Law” for the DS, a game that combined CSI-style forensic brain busters with pure ass kicking. And also, some Sudoku. This morning, Konami informed us that they’ll be publishing the game (which basically means giving it some, we think, well deserved advertising clout and exposure) and releasing it in North America this September. We’re not sure what brought about the name change, but “miami crisis” definitely hits with more impact than “miami law” so we have no room to complain.
(note that Hudson is still developing the title, just not publishing it directly)
What captured our attention was the new morsel of game info Konami released. We already knew you could play as either the criminal busting Martin Law, or the forensic scientist Sara Starling, but apparently their successes – OR FAILURES – will change the plot and the overall ending.
Keep it locked here, Portables, and we’ll keep you posted.
