Is your PSP library a bit on the short side? Are all those puzzle and racing games not satisfying that hunger in your soul that can only be satiated by random violence and over-the-top badass style? Well you are in luck, as Atlus has announced the coming of “Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble” for the PSP. On what must be the one of the most entertaining game info sites in the history of man, Atlus reveals the game’s juicy details. In Badass Rumble, you assume the role of a Bancho, the definition of which is ”that one guy who everyone knows can kick the ass of everyone else in the room.” Your Bancho, which you can customize with different clothing and the fighting styles of those you’ve defeated, is on a boring week long school trip to a museum. Instead of doing that boring crap, your Bancho is free to roam the open-world city of Kyoto, picking fights with anyone who even dares to look at him funny. Kyoto is broken down into different areas, each of which has its own unique fighting flavor. As you defeat more and more Banchos from each area, you are able to teach your Bancho that “Local Specialty,” moves unique to that area. Another added perk of beating the bajeesus out of everybody is the ability to have those whom you’ve defeated back you up in fights. Badass Rumble even comes with the ability to play co-operatively with a friend over ad-hoc mode. Atlus assures us that due to all the fighters (47 banchos across all areas) and the extreme badass volume of the game, players will most likely have to play through the game multiple times to see all the content. Atlus tends to make good with its promises of immensity, (see Class of Heroes) and judging by the official site and screenshots the game seems to ooze over-the-top style. Expect Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble to be kicking ass and taking names on November 10th.
