iPhone Review: Skullpogo

SkullPogo2Developer: Blinkbat Games
Price: $1.99
Verdict: Worth the $1.99 just to jump around on a pogo stick.  Addictive
Pros: Simply game play, jumping off of zombies.
Cons: No change in backgrounds, the kid with no school is going to be king of the leader-boards

Time for a flash back to the 80’s.  A time when Mr. T was the epitome of cool, stonewashed jeans were awesome, and pogo sticks were all the rage of the cool kids.  Ok, so maybe not the stonewashed jeans part.  Yup, this game rocks the pogo stick.

Skullpogo is a simple game.  A man, with a large skull head, jumping around on sweet pogo stick.  The game consists of jumping off of cats, ghosts, pigs, zombies, and bats to add up the score.  Jump from one baddie to another to start getting a score multiplier.  That pogo stick touches the ground, and the score multiplier resets.  Add in some special nukes to jump off of, well, that’s just bacon in the pan!

The game has one background, one soundtrack (excluding those rocking tunes that are stored on the iPhone), and some fun sound effects.  Lets face it, nothing tops the sound of jumping off a cat.  The tilt controls are spot on, as well.  The game supports OpenFeint for those Score-a-holics who want to stay atop the leader-boards.

This game is enjoyable.  It’s not something to play for hours on end, but it IS definitely something to enjoy over that morning cup of go juice (that’s coffee, kids).  This is worth the purchase, if nothing else than to jump off of zombies on a kick ass pogo stick

Get your own kick ass pogo stick.  Yup.  Tell us how sweet pogo sticks are in the comment section and you could win a copy of this game.  Think pogo sticks were lame compared to the pogo ball, then tell us why.  Either way, you could wind a free game.
