Flash cartridges such as these could soon be legal in France.
According to Maxconsole and CVG, it appears that a French high court has ruled against Nintendo’s lawsuit against flash cart retailer and/or producer Divineo for production and sale of DS flash carts. The judge has ruled that Nintendo is illegally locking out developers from the platform, and that development should be open like on a personal computer such as Windows. More details and specifics are expected soon from this case, which could have a huge impact on handheld gaming, homebrew, as well as piracy in France and potentially all of Europe.
