Every week, TPG brings you “Portable Offerings,” a quick glance at what the publishers have planned for your wallet and your attention span.

Without delay then, here’s your DS lineup for the week of March 10th, 2009:

1) Zubo: From EA’s Casual label comes a music-based rhythm game, aimed squarely at 7 to 11 year old kiddos. Zubo takes some of Patapon’s concepts (tapping your stylus in time to forward the progress of battle) and empowers the player to put their rhythm to use, aiding the Zubos in their quest to halt an evil force from world domination. The story may sound generic, but the gameplay looks whimsical and there are plenty of mini-games and unlockables to explore. This could be a fantastic one to play with your kids.

Plus, I bet after playing DJ Max Fever, Gabe could use this as a breather :-)

2) My Sims Party: Featuring 40 mini-games set in the MySims world. You can dig up dinosaur fossils during Excavate-a-Saurus, join Goth Boy on a first person shooter mission during Haunted Hunted or rock out with Air-Guitar-Star! Another possible highlight for the younger set.

3) Avalon Code: We’re excited about this original RPG from the creative brains behind Rune Factory and Harvest Moon. Here’s why. A review copy is being sent to Jersey Bob as I type this, so expect a review within a couple weeks!

4) Boing! Docomodake DS: Ignition Entertainment (you may have heard of them!) describe it as “a game of strategy and finesse, mixed with a little action and adventure, sprinkled with a splash of colorful fantasy.” IGN called it “7 Kinds of Awesome” so we’re definitely curious. In the meantime, though, we’ll be checking out the bouncy screenshots at http://www.playdoco.com/

So, Portable Gamers, any of this week’s releases spike your interest?
