The Portable Gamers
It’s not enough that we bring you the finest and most up to date iPhone, PSP, & DS gaming content in the webiverse, but we do it with a personal style, charm, and occasional snarky comment as well. The best of games journalism is about a conversation. It means nothing without you and is, at its best, a dialogue between all of us. With that in mind, we invite you to meet the staff who make the magic happen.

Carter Dotson – Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world. Wait, no, that’s Journey. Carter’s been a handheld gaming fanatic since 1996, and has owned just near every handheld system of note since then, except for the N-Gage, because the N-Gage is smelly and stupid.
Michelle Lopez - Michelle is the audio-genius voice behind the iCasual Report here on TPG. She spends her other free time as part of the audio review cast over at the Typical Mac User podcast. At home, she has a beautiful husband, a couple of kitties, and a crafting design company that she manages.
Rob LeFebvre -Rob’s is a daddy, a hubby, a musician, a web geek, and a mac head. He’s also one of those odd ducks – an adult-onset gamer. He has an iPhone, PSP and DS to prove his Portable cred, and a wicked nice streak, so be careful when talking to him. He runs both Games Are Evil and The Portable Gamer as a “hobby” business that seems to be taking over his life.- Chris Nitz – Chris has been playing games since the day he got his hands on an Atari 2600. Chris enjoys long walks on the DOA beach, candle lit dinners with Raziel, and flower power from Super Mario World. Chris now spends most of his time on the PC, PS3 and DS/PSP.
- Mike Boyle – In 1972, Mike, a former CIA agent, is called back into the business when the mafia kills his brother, fills black orphanages with heroin, and floods the street with bad malt liquor. He soon discovers a vast conspiracy.
- Melody Stotler – Melody is a gamer, a musician, a psych major, a mother, a ginger, and parties for a living. She plays XBox 360, PS3, Wii, Nintendo DSi, PSP, GameCube, and iPhone games. She’s shy, so make sure you go and talk to her at parties. It’s worth the effort.
- Frank Delaney – Frank is an IT geek by day, and a gaming super hero by night. His powers include Ultra Deep Voice Boom and Extreme Grilled Cheese Sandwich Making! After a night of saving the the Last Frontier from the depths of boredom, Frank likes to settle in with a game on his 360, PSP, or iPod Touch; he even graces TPG and GRE with his opinions of them. See? He even saves people from bad games. A super hero’s work is never done!
- Carlton Brumbelow – Carlton Brumbelow is a tangible video-game character sent from the future to warn us of the impending gaming apocolypse. In the year 2037, the Kefka programming will finally become self aware and will proceed to destroy the world. Carlton intends to stop this before it happens. In his spare time, he hangs out with his present-time wife, kids and friends. He has told them that he’s from the future, but they do not believe him. They laugh at him when he is not around. But they’ll see…oh yes, they’ll see. They’ll soon begin to hear Kefka’s maniacal laugh in their dreams, just like he does. Errrr…Carlton likes video games.
