Kael’thas Sunstrider is the son of Anasterian Sunstrider, the former King of Quel’Thalas. He was a member of the Council of Six in Dalaran before he and his people joined Illidan’s forces. In Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Kael’thas aided Illidan in his bid to claim the Frozen Throne.

Kael’thas and his people were left in Outland, where they were taken in by the Burning Legion.

Kael’thas served as Illidan’s second-in-command and led the blood elves in their fight against the Scourge.

His role in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
