This is part of a series of “monster acquisition” articles that has been pushed by the marketing department, and as such they contain repetitive elements to them (graphics saying WHY YOU WANT THIS MONSTER; quick guide on where to get this monster). However, you can emphasize different aspects of each article to make it stand out.
The monster that I’m talking about in this article is nobody you haven’t heard of before. If you ask most people, they’ll rattle off “who’s the big blue one with the big shield?” or something similar, but for this article let’s talk about why it isn’t just “the big blue one with the big shield”.
So let’s start off by talking about its abilities It has some pretty nasty attacks, it can easily take down most monsters of a similar rank to it. Even if it doesn’t want to attack, its shield can reflect or absorb most monster attacks thrown at it, making it nigh invulnerable. This is the monster you’ve heard of, but it isn’t so new that you don’t have a chance to get your hands on it.
Strong xyz monsters
Let’s talk about its strength. Xyz monsters are some of the strongest monsters in yugioh, and this particular monster goes beyond that. It requires 3 level 9 normal monsters to summon (which isn’t too bad, you can easily get it if you do the right stuff). Its rank is 12, which means it has more than enough attack to wipe out anything lower than rank 13 (which isn’t very common in the current metagame, but lately monsters of all ranks are showing up). It has 3100 atk points, which is almost twice that of most level 10 monsters. Most importantly, it’s blue eyes white dragon counterpart was limited in the past. This monster hasn’t been limited, so it puts it in a unique spot.
The title can focus on the significance of this monster being available to the public again after years of only being playable by advanced players or duelists that went through hell and back just to get their hands on this thing. Give them reasons why they should want it now more than ever, before it’s gone again.
- The first strong monster is the mighty blue eyes white dragon, but there are MANY other strong ones you can use.
- The second strong monster is an older card that you can get for cheap on your first turn.
- The third strong monster is one that requires 3 level 9 normal monsters to summon, but it has a lot of strength even if it ends up in the graveyard.
- The fourth strong monster is one that requires 3 level 9 normal monsters to summon, but its effect prevents it from being destroyed or targeted by other monsters.
- The fifth strong monster is one that requires 3 level 9 normal monsters to summon, but it can wipe out entire fields of weak level 1-4 monsters.
This will give people a list to choose from if they want this particular article to stand out, but I don’t suggest using all 5 at once, at least not in the same way that I’ve presented them here. Keep at least one different idea in each article (either mentioning different ways to get it, or talking about what makes this monster so great).
If you focus on anything besides the “we don’t want to make more of these available for a while” reason why they’re limited, you can easily change the title to focus on that.
- Reasons why people want/like this monster:
It’s so powerful it can wipe out entire fields of weak level 1-4 monsters. It has 3100 atk points, which is almost twice that of most level 10 monsters. It is a strong monster that cannot be destroyed or targeted by other monsters. It has some pretty nasty attacks, it can easily take down most monsters of a similar rank to it. Even if it doesn’t want to attack, its shield can reflect or absorb most monster attacks thrown at it, making it nigh invulnerable.
