Rukia Kuchiki is one of the coolest characters in Bleach. She’s a Soul Reaper, which means she occasionally has to kill Hollows, which are monsters that have lost their souls–exactly what Rukia does.
Ichigo is the protagonist of the series and saves Rukia from being killed by a Hollow on multiple occasions. He first sees Rukia when he’s fighting some other soul reapers, who were trying to take his power, Ichigo gets his powers back after meeting her.

Sosuke Aizen is the captain of the 5th division and is also called The Grand Arrancar. He has a prominent role in all three arcs of the series- Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and Fake Karakura Town.
Gin Ichimaru
Gin Ichimaru is a captain from Squad Seven and is said to be the smartest of the Soul Society. He moved up from being a Lieutenant to a Captain by using his intelligence to outsmart his opponents. He was so smart that he went on to become captain, but he has a crippling weakness.
Uryu Ishida
A fan favorite, Uryu has a lot of personality and an interesting backstory. His backstory is about how he lost his friend in a past war and has been both working to protect the Soul Society and wishing for revenge ever since.
