Online gaming is an industry that develops at a high pace. Only 20 years ago, it was something only single dudes in their 30s, living in their basements did. Today, it is a sport, a popular hobby, and a way to make money. Not too shabby for an activity that boils down to collecting virtual hearts or killing zombies. Along with online gaming, a whole set of other industries evolved, predominantly those that supply accessories and technologies necessary for online gaming sessions.

Unsurprisingly, it is easy to get lost in the abundance of gizmos and gadgets available at online and brick-and-mortar stores. From cup holders to massive screens – everything is available, as long as you can afford it.

We asked Anna Rosak to tell us more about the must-haves every serious player should get. The online gaming specialist from Poland, who does plenty of reviews of games as well as online casinos. You can read her article on best payout casinos here wypłacalne kasyna online na KasynoHEX. Anna truly is a player and she was happy to help.

“It is a real vanity fair out there, and players compete on who will have a better setup. The amounts grown adults are willing to spend on gaming accessories are flabbergasting, and could be put to better use, but what can you do.”

Ergonomic Chair

The most important part of the setup, besides the computer, is the gaming chair. According to 2012 research, a simple chair intervention in the workplace can reduce musculoskeletal pain and discomfort. The study found that employees felt immediate relief after being supplied with a high-quality ergonomic chair.

“Gamers, just like employees at offices worldwide, spend their days glued to a chair. However, they also feel the additional stress in the neck and back caused by the intense feelings they experience throughout the game. That is why the chair is so critical”, says Rosak.

Gaming chairs don’t come cheap, but Anna suggests avoiding branded stuff, and simply visiting the local office supply store, or even IKEA. For a moderate price, it is possible to get a chair that will last for years to come, keeping your health intact.

High-Quality Monitors

“Whether you play on one or more monitors is up to you, but you need a monitor that won’t crash, with vivid colors and high definitions. Although most monitors on the market these days can be categorized as such, it is worth examining what monitors work best for your game, or your gaming device”, advises Rosak.

Anna is aware of the fact many believe gaming monitors are nothing but a marketing gimmick, but is persistent that this is not the case. The specialist elaborates that fast action demands a fast response, which regular monitors can’t always provide.

“When you play in a team, it is important to have everyone on the same page. If you are the one who’s just dragging along, and can’t contribute, you’ll get kicked out eventually”, she claims.

Top-Notch Headphones

Professional gamers always perform with headphones on. Many of them are custom-made and decorated to their liking, contributing to the overall style and perception of the team. An average gamer will rarely pick the custom-made option, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need a good set of headphones.

“A gaming headset gives you a better chance to react on time. Furthermore, you’ll be immersed in the game as soon as you put them on. Call it Pavlov’s reflex, but for many players, the headset is the gate between the real world, and their gaming environment”, honest is the expert.

The gaming pro suggests going old-school and picking a wired set, instead of the more popular pods and wireless options. In her experience, such headsets proved to be more reliable, and are less prone to technical issues as well as breaking. “And if you ever played a game online, you know you’ll be throwing them all over the place”, she laughs and says she broke too many headsets to keep track.

Reliable Phone

Anna Rosak recognizes the need of players to access their games on the go, so she advises getting a reliable smartphone or tablet, to enjoy your favorite entertainment at all times.

“Oh yes, I am pretty aware of the fact many pros will consider this to be obsolete, as all “real games” must be played on a desktop. Still, casual players of casino games, or even card games such as Hearthstone will want to play at the bar, on the beach, and wherever they feel like it”, Anna is open. What is also a huge advantage is the easy access to all online services like banking, stores, gaming apps straight from your device.

The expert says how gamers, unfortunately, have to count on frequent visits to the phone store. “Every new version of the game is more demanding than the previous. Before you even blink, you’ll need a new, faster and stronger phone. Don’t pinch pennies on this one. It’s just not worth it”, she concludes.
